Access Audits
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Amendment Regulations 2003 place a duty on all employers and people in control of premises where the public have access to complete an access audit and make reasonable adjustments so as not to discriminate against a person with a disability.
The law states that a person directly discriminates against a disabled person if, on the ground of a person's disability, they treat that person less favourably than they treat or would treat a person not having that particular disability whose relevant circumstances, including their abilities, are the same as, or not materially different from, those of the disabled person.
We have completed many access audits for organizations such as the Scottish Ambulance Service, Radisson SAS Hotels and many others, and not only carry out 'Disability Access Audits' but also assist with finding solutions.
